The Priory

Quite a large house and grounds at the centre of the village, The Priory was probably named after the Priory at Wymondham, Norfolk -- an example of the Victorians "keeping up with the Joneses". The house numbering scheme introduced by Melton Borough Council gives a Chapel Lane address, though the house is approached along a drive leading from Church Lane.
