Sedley IT Centre opens for business

 

Art & Design Courses

The Sedley IT Centre was formally opened by the well known broadcaster Kate Adie on Friday 19th November 1999 at 3:30pm.

A number of computer courses catering for a wide range of abilities will be run during the early part of 2000.

Announcing the formation of the Wymondham Computer Club which will meet every Thursday evening from 7pm - 9pm commencing 13th January 2000.

Annual membership fees: Adults £5 / Under-16s £2.50 (first two visits free!)

Come along: use our modern IT facilities and widen your knowledge - Specialist help available.

Internet charges (per half-hour session): Adults £1 / Under-16s 50pence
 

 

The next 10 week course for Art & Design will commence on Wednesday 12th January 2000 at 7:30pm

Keep Fit / Circuit Training

Unfortunately our sessions have had to be be discontinued due to a lack of support.

However it is hoped to start another group in the New Year (possibly in an evening) when more people might be able to attend.

Little Windmills

Ballroom Dancing

The Little Windmills pre-school playgroup meets at the Sedley Centre every weekday morning between 9am and 1pm during term time.

The new season has started well with an average weekly attendance of 18.

More members are most welcome to join us for Ballroom and Social Dancing with instruction on Friday evenings between 7:30pm and 10pm

Make Your Experience Count

 

A course for women who would like to make changes to their lives.

Course objectives:

  • Identify and assess the strengths and skills you have already gained
  • Make choices about your future
  • Plan and prepare for moving on to further opportunities in work or education
The course is open to women of any age (from 18 to retirement) who would like to make a change to their lives; return to education or training; go back to work; become a volunteer.

No qualifications are required - The course is free of charge
There will be substantial help provided towards the cost of childcare


The course will run at the Sedley Centre for 12 weeks from 1:15 - 3pm on Tuesdays, commencing 11th January 2000

Notice to all Young People living in Wymondham
and Surrounding Parishes

Any person attending an educational course may apply to the Trustees of the Sir John Sedley Educational Foundation for financial help. Money is available to help with the purchase of specialist materials and personal equipment, to assist young people in their educational studies. Young people in work are also eligible for support.
